• 100% of the individuals indicated that they lived at or below
current U.S. Poverty guidelines.

• 67% were residence of a transitional shelter and
31% were residence of a residential shelter (2% – other).

• 7,426 units of hygiene products, grooming supplies and
equipment was distributed to three of the areas top homeless and transitional shelters.

• 1,020 haircuts/hairstyles, 258 shaves and 36 grooming training
sessions were performed.

• On 808 occasions children and adults served indicated that they
were receiving services that they are currently unable to afford.

• On 553 occasions children and adults served indicated they were
now able to attend school with a neat and clean appearance.

• On 257 occasions adults served indicated that they were able to
attend an interview with a neat and clean appearance.


– 2006 YEAR IN REVIEW

• A client caseload of seventy-eight (78) individuals living at or below US poverty guidelines received grooming support services for a period of one-year.

• Haircuts performed – 121, Hairstyles – 140 Hygiene products distributed – 1100 units, Training sessions conducted – 77.

• On 219 occasions the individuals served by the program indicated that the haircuts received were services that they otherwise could not afford.

• On 234 occasions the individuals served by the program indicated that they now have regularly maintained grooming, hygiene and self-image.

• On 169 occasions the individuals served by the program indicated that they were now able to attend school with a neat and clean appearance.

• On 11 occasions the individuals served by the program indicated that the services allowed them to attend an upcoming job interview with a neat and clean appearance.

22 individuals received 38 no-charge grooming services

29 were haircuts, 5 hairstyles and 4 other services (training sessions, grooming products, etc.)

• 28% of our clients are now able to perform grooming services on themselves and their family members.

• 44% of our clients said that they received a service that they did not have money to regularly obtain.

• 26% of our clients acknowledged that the program improved their basic hygiene and self-image.

• 16% of our clients listed that they could now attend school with a neat and clean appearance.

• 13% of our clients indicated that they could now attend work with a clean appearance.

• 7% of our clients indicated that they are now prepared for an upcoming job interview.

• 4% of our clients are now pursuing a career in the grooming profession.

• 38% of our clients were assessed with an average twenty-five percent increase in self-esteem.

• 16% of our clients scored eighty-five percent or above when assessed in grooming knowledge and skill.

• 126 grooming support services were administered to 115 individuals

71 were haircuts, 4 were hairstyles & 63 were other services (training session, grooming products, etc.)

• 98% of the individuals served indicated that they currently live below current U.S. poverty guidelines

• 57% of individuals served were from a transitional shelter, 24% were from a residential shelter, 2% were from an emergency shelter and 17% other

• On 105 occasions individuals served indicated that they received a service that they were current unable to pay for

• On 107 occasions individuals served indicated that they received serviced that allowed them to maintain proper grooming, hygiene and self-image

• On 15 occasions children served by the program indicated that they were now able to attend school with a neat and clean appearance
