Year-end Outputs and Outcomes For 2013:

Our five grooming projects provided 878 haircuts, 20 hairstyles and 58 other hygienic services to a total of 598 clients who were experiencing homelessness and/or lacked access to regular grooming.

As a result:

• 312 of the clients served indicated that they now have an improved self-image.

• 318 of the clients served indicated that they will now be able to attend school with a neat and clean appearance.

• 150 of the clients served indicated that they will now be able to attend their job interview(s) with a neat and clean appearance.

• 91 of the clients served indicated that they will now be able to attend their new place of employment with a neat and clean appearance.

These outputs and outcomes effectively reduced the lack of access to grooming problem for clients of the following agencies by the following percentages:

• 73% at Light House (transitional shelter), Annapolis, Maryland

• 51% at Access Housing (residential shelter), Washington, D.C

• 18% at Anne Arundel County Public Schools, Maryland

• 33% at Homeless Resource Day, Anne Arundel County, Maryland

• 120% at the Adidas/DTLR Back-to-School Barbershop, Baltimore, Maryland.
